What meditation made me do…

The reason that the title of my blog is “Meditation made me do it…” is really simple.  Since I began meditating about five years ago many wonderful things have happened in my life and I’ve done so many positive things that I never imagined I could’ve.

Lets begin explaining a little bit what meditation is.   It is when your mind is not in control of everything, it is calmed and peaceful, free of any thoughts and worries.  Is a connection with everything.  Is returning home.

The first thing is, that to really meditate you have to shut up that irritating mind of yours that insists to keep on talking.  I know it’s a little bit difficult but keep on trying, you’ll get it.  Once you shut up that chatty mind that’s when all begin.  There are various meditation techniques, but the one that I practice is silent meditation.  For example, I am aware of my breathing or maybe I say a mantra in my head, so I prevent thoughts to keep on popping out, and if that happens I just let the thought pass by and set back my attention to my breathing or my mantra.

Once you’ve reached that meditative state, you are not going to want to get out of there.  It happens to me all the time.  The benefits that I personally have experienced are many, but for me the most important one is that I’ve done so many things in my life that I never thought about or even wanted to because I was so afraid of doing them.  When you meditate you can see clearly what is that you have to do, and you begin to make things happen. Creativity just pops out.  Everything heals inside of you, you attract abundance, health, well-being, clarity, trust in yourself, memory increases and many more.  And in an spiritual meaning, you are in constant connection with God.

“In stillness we will hear God’s Voice today without intrusion of our petty thoughts, without our personal desires, and without all judgment of His holy word.”

-A course in miracles

You reach a point where you meditate in every situation that happens in your life, this is living in the “here and now”.  It’s when you are conscious of what is happening internally and externally in the present moment. So you are really aware of everything.

In the times that we are living of so many stress and negative situations happening, meditation is a really powerful and incredible tool to help deal with all of that.

Peace and Love,
